Needlework Project 2023

Consider The Lilies by Heartstring Samplery

This is a major undertaking since I am stitching this sampler one over one on 32 count cream Belfast linen.

This is the ultimate goal!

With a stitch count of 435 x 363, my finished sampler will measure about 13 1/2 by 11 1/2. I’m not setting a projected finish date for this one.

Here’s my thread toss. Beautiful colors, yes?

Other needlework projects on tap for this year are Christmas ornaments and some Quaker smalls. More on those to come!

I have also started playing around with Vogue 1859. I need some pattern adjustments and will throw together a quick muslin to check the results. That’s on the agenda for tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. This is going to be a Good Year for needle and thread.

Ready, Set, Go!

I’m glad you are here!

This is launch day for my new longtime planned blog about sewing, quilting, needlework, knitting, and all things needle and thread.

Buckle up for SWAP, Make 9, Capsule Wardrobes, Pattern Hacking, Vintage Sewing, Sewing for Girls, No Frump Zone, Needlework Samplers, Knitting, Fabric Manipulation, Embellishments, TAST, the White Shirt Project, and MORE!
